Mei Mei still has some left-over engergy to get back to regular training again after that crazy Sunday. I couldn't run at all yesterday but still went to the gym and did some weight training on the upper body. Your sportsmanship is the uplifting for a lot of us.

Haha I escaped from the torture and preserved myself last sunday. Regretted a bit afterward but believed it was the right decision at the time otherwise cannot enjoy's Sue' lunch invitation!!!!

I will do 30 to 36 k more often but not any further. Too tough in summer to do extra long run.

No, no, I can proved that too: my energy seemed to be always lacking when I need them most, like last sunday, the last 5 years' Singapore marathon last April ChengZhou Marathon and many more!!!!

While having an easy jog with Charles last night, we were chatting different aspect of running. First he explained to me about  a training program targeting for 5k that he sent to me. I was delighted about it as he felt that following that 4 weeks program it could help me to run below 20 min for my next 5 k. The problem however is to find a block of time that I don't need to travel to complete that 4 weeks training. Other topics include how nice it is meeting many friends in different countries, sacrifying social time is neutral, how we always make sure our running gear are packed when we travel, to the extend that Charles sometimes handcarry them. He was wondering how our family thought about us. We concluded that it must be hard for them to comprehand as even many of our fellow runners could not understand why two men double their age are still so hook on running seriously including tough interval training, LSD etc.  Well even us - ourselves donot understand!!!!

BTW Charles was very happy when I told him that our young runner David thought he is very young. That make me feel young too!!!

Quiet here all in a sudden?
Brief report: Thursday : Interval training at the Chinese Medicine University. There are a lot of joggers. Strangely enough mostly girls. Just wonder where the boys are ?

Me, Crazyinter, Chax, Fong Fong, Yin Shen,  Wonder woman were there. Charels, Captain, and Si Ei couldn't make it. Bay runner turn up for a jog with Fong Fong. Me and Crazyinter did 4 x1200 meters, target was 1min 30 sec per lap but couldn't kept this pace for the last lap. So instead of 4min 30 could only managed 4min 40sec. with 3 and half minutes rest in between each 1200 m. The last two was quite tough and it was good to have Crazyinter and Chax there to push me a bit. Overall a good anaerobic training.
After resting for 10 minutes we did some 200 m stride followed by 200 m jog. The aim is to improve the running form for better speed. Chax seemed to pick it up nicely, with a bit more of such, Chax can run much faster.

Noodle treat as usual after the run to replenish our lost carbohydrate.

Friday: One hour Gym session to improve flexibility as well as strength. Some excercises are tougher than a 5k run!!
