Knowing some of the core members
Are leaving us sooner than later
Fear to start a new thread in the regular Chinese panel
For it might attract overwhelming replies
So I do it here, a safe place to keep it low but serve my purpose

Everyday people arriving and leaving Shanghai
A typical big city phenomenon
Some came with new hope or curiosity
Some left with goals achieved or dreams broken
What is yours, my friend ......

I am from out of town, too
And temporarily reside here
For how long I don't know
Wandering off the world in the past
I learned to live in the present moment

A shared hobby called running
Brings us together to this forum
Despite age and gender differences
I see friendship glow
Between the come and go

I wish you the best in everything you do
Running makes the world small enough
For us to meet somewhere again soon
A home is where your heart is
And I need not say no more

It's really sad to say goodbye to them though for me we knew each other only 2 months.....

there are only very handful core members in our club. that's definitely a huge loss we are saying farewell to two of them. luckily we have great many marathon races in China making it possible for more frequent friends reunion. but knowing someone not coming back for another regular weekend run is sad indeed. we may later talk about some good old times, only with bitter smiles

Very beautiful poem from Suesu. it's always sad to see friends leaving, especially those who contribute a lot to the forum and club. I can only bless them all the best for the future and look forward to reunion any time, any place.
